I think Ottawa would need to take some salary back, but I'd be looking for at least a 1st and a good prospect. Reilly Smith's contract going back would make sense, or maybe a Marcus Pettersson? Idk really though.

I feel that would work for me, Chabot is a very good defensemen and he could help Pittsburgh alot

I don't think Sens fans will enjoy the return, but to me it feels necessary to move on. Wicked hockey player, and he's been an incredible Sen, but Ottawa can't rebuild the blueline the way they need to with him. Makes too much and misses too much time.

Chabot is a valuable asset and he is a top 20 defensemen at least to me

You can count on two hands the number of dmen who have generated more offense than him since he's entered the league. He's an elite driver of offense. Problem for Ottawa is that you know he's gonna miss 15-30 games a season, and he's gonna be run down by the end of the year. I love him SO much, but Ottawa is aiming to be in the fight this time next year, and you really just can't have any faith that he's gonna be available to you in the post season.
As a Sens fan, I'm in the camp that if you keep one of him or Chychrun it's Chabot (he's a much better player), but I think the best course of action is to move both and rebuild that bottom 4 completely, as big a task as that is.
Rust > Frederick But I think that's the trade-call BOS would pursue w/ PIT...
* BOS adds pick/pros; needs scoring
* PIT retains $1M; needs grit, CAP space, get younger...
PS: other notables for a "HOCKEY" Trade if above is BS = Bunting or O'Connor

Ferraro was a legit bad defenseman last year, in 5v5 play he coughed up almost 40 goals on the season. Letting 92 in.. that's more than 1 per game even if he had played 82 he only played 78,
Given his PDO is a 96.7... but even still those are really bad numbers. His corsi and FW are under 45.
The only thing he has going for him was he wasn't a turn over machine... but that's probably less to do with him and more to do with he never touched the puck. Either the other team was controlling it or it was in the back of the net.
I'm not sure why you'd want him. He's the SJS version of Ludvig

Yikes, Guess no Ferraro, i already know i want Chabot now as my 1D
Pass on Laughton, Chabot, and Garland. No thank you. Garland would be a decent player for us, but would only take minutes from younger guys that need to grow.
BOS isn’t trading Frederic. Ferraro is a decent player, but it makes no sense for PIT to trade the necessary assets for him when Pickering will soon be NHL ready at LD.
Just wanted to see his value, And Fredric is very underrated so if Fredric could produce with Malkin or Crosby better than Rust, i would take Fredric
He got almost 20G on BOS, mid-6 role, $2.4M-per.
I think you got to like what else he brings, or can do - honest to gawd grit/toughness, 200-footer.
PIT is soft...
I'd sooner re-sign Fred then trade so that too makes the earlier offer easy to cancel!

Ferraro after what i heard, is a bad option and Chabot is an amazing option

So i guess i should add Fredric to my list of good options for Pittsburgh, Putting him on a line with Crosby but especially Malkin could help the Pens a lot, And Rust is a good player for 2W

Spending what assets we have on Chabot and his $8 million aav with term, when Pickering will soon be impactful for below $1 million, is not wise at all. No thank you.

BOS is not trading Frederic. I would love him on PIT, but it’s not happening.
