Leonard is a must to even talk Zegras. If your response to that is ‘no way’, that’s totally all good. ANA has zero incentive to trade him and we love him here

17 is indeed late teens according to math

Maybe a little more research before coming up with that? Guy had the same injury Logan Couture was held out basically all year with and then he broke his ankle which actually made him able to recover from that injury as well. 8 points in his late 8 games, looking like an even better Trevor than we saw the first two years and also was praised by his coach who has said he holds Trevor to a higher standard from anyone else on the team

So yeah, you keep your guys and we will keep our guy

32 picks in the 1st round. 16 is half so 17 by math would be middle not late. Intellectually speaking lol “late teen” WTF does that matter.

Yeah Zegras ain’t getting Leonard who is going to be a superstar. Zegras is Leonard’s floor. You gave up an early 2nd and Drysdale for Quitter who Leonard is better / will me better than statistically looking at their freshmen year stats.

Zegras was injured, lol. started the season with the same ailment that kept Couture out all year. When he rested it while recovering from the broken ankle he returned to form as a point per Game Center to end the year. Thank you, we will glaaaadly keep him

Buddy I'm going to need the name of your dealer because you must be getting the good stuff.

Maybe wait until the kid does something at a professional level before deeming him the second coming of Ovechkin.

It’s his only sample size without injury this season, so yeah. And 10% of the season isn’t totally irrelevant. Not enough? Take a look at the last 2 seasons where he put up 60+ points back-to-back. Pretending he’s a 15 point player is the outlier.

You won’t see a single ANA fan posting Zegras trades for a reason, I’m not the one pushing this. I’m just saying what it’d take since one of your hometown boys proposed acquiring him. I very clearly said if he isnt worth Leonard to you that’s alllll good. We’re more than happy with him

AND I’m saying that’s an insane ask considering Zegras value isn’t anywhere near Leonard’s.

You're right, Zegras value isn't anywhere near Leanords, it's higher, so the Caps would be adding, since Zegras has actually shown he can translate his talent at the NHL level, and because he's a center. Leonard hasn't done anything yet.

LMAO Leonard is a beast. You can only draft those type of players.

Players like Marner and Zegras are always going to be available in trades because of this thing called scarcity but i've learned from this site that SoCal water very much kills brain cells en masse.

LOL 17 point season Zegras. Power forward in Leonard dominating right now but hasnt done anything? At least show some levity, this is why most of your fan base here is ignored.

Bro thinks Zegras is worth more than Celebrini and Michkov also I guess. What an incredibly dumb statement. Flabbergasting

Let them like each other posts. They pick and choose their arguments and argue in bad faith, continually. Ignore them.

Ryan Leonard should have been a top5 pick last year. Unreal talent. He's looking like the next Brady Tkachuk with better hands.

I agree. Like “hey give me your best prospect for my lazy 200 foot player coming off and injury and having a horrible year”

Real easy to rack up points when you are riding Gauthiers coat tails on the most stacked team in recent memory. When he's a middle 6 winger at the NHL level remember these conversations, well hang onto our top 6 guy.

You cant rid these people, unfortunately and fandom breeds a lot of mouth breathers. Zegras is at the lowest value possible right now whether or not you believe he's better than his current form.
While Leonard's hype is unreal. That isn't exactly a recipe for a trade to take all the risk on Washington's part whom needs ELC contracts

The cognitive dissonance with you is absolutely outstanding. The team taking on the risk would be Anaheim if Leonard can't translate his skill to the NHL level like tons of prospects before him have done.

He didn't even want to join the Caps after they knew they got a playoff berth, he decided to go back to Boston.
