All of these trades are bad for the teams not located in St. Louis. maybe the Carolina and New jersey ones are close to fair but that's it

Vegas is like a double overpay. They are in deep cap trouble. They're gonna need to basically give away a decent player. New Jersey is also an overpay. And the cap burden shift in the Carolkna trade ain't great, either. Most of these, both teams say no. Vegas should be so lucky.

What? No they aren't. They have 20 players currently under contract for next season with 2 RFA's in Dorofeyev and Korczak. Assuming Lehner doesn't suddenly come back they have ~7M cap space to work with.

Hague is on a dirt cheap contract and a very effective player, he is easily worth far more than 2 3rds.

The Devil's trade is a lot closer than you give think. It cost pick #45 for Arizona to move up from pick 14 to 11, jumping from 16 to 10 absolutely cost more than that.

Dorofeyev is getting a raise + Korz = more than half the 6M is gone right off the top. Then they have to replace their leading scorer Cup hero and 2C. It's not like they just have to re-sign a couple of 4th liners. And also, on top of all that, two reliable 4th liners are also UFA. A couple of these contracts counted for next year are AHL depth players. So unless Vegas wants to scrape for the entire bottom six, having already bumped two 3rd liners into the top six, they're in deep doo doo. Brett Howden 3C, here we come. squinty smile

Well Korzak will almost certainly be moved simply due to lack of roster spots and loss of waiver exemption.

Again they are at 20/23 spots filled already, maybe they place Rondbjerg on waivers but Brisson, Dorofeyev and Cotter should all be regulars in the lineup next year.
Dorofeyev will probably get about 1.5-2M depending on term.
I'm not sure how you missed it but Stephenson has already been replaced for next year by Hertl.
Sure they will either have to re-sign Marchessault or replace him but that's not going to be major cap gymnastics

Barbashev - Eichel - xxx
Dorofeyev - Hertl - Stone
Howden - Karlsson - Brisson
Cotter - Roy - Kolesar
Rondbjerg

Hanifin - Pietrangelo
McNabb - Theodore
Hague - Whitecloud
Hutton

That's 21 players, only missing that 1 spot on the top line with 5-5.5M cap space to extend Marchessault. What am I missing here? If they are that tight on cap they may shop Roy then bring in a cheaper option at 4C

Islanders easy pass. We traded 13th overall for Romanov and he has gotten better as the year goes on
