That trade is extremely uninteresting for the flames

Graves makes way too much for way too long, Eller may get you a 3rd at the deadline if you’re lucky, a 5th, and a career AHLer doesn’t make any sense for us.

Id rather just keep Markstrom or wait to trade him when teams get more desperate.

Why would the Bruins do this? Jarry's contract is awful - you need to pay to dump that. Hallander/POJ/a 2nd isn't enough for Ullmark.

I don’t know about a 3rd for Eller. This guy was an absolute dog all year and was invested in every single game. Brought life to our third line and played a key role as a penalty killer.

Both these trades make absolute zero sense. Calgary gets zero quality assets in the trade except for Eller that they can flip for a decent return but not worth the trade. Boston will just hang on to Ullmark if this is the return they are offered.

Yeah he plays a great vet role on any contending team but I just don’t see him getting a great return at the deadline, maybe if you retain 50% it could be something decent.

But the overall trade for Markstrom is horrendous

I think with the overall great play of Eller I’d at least hope for a 2nd.
