Briesbois ruined this teams D core. Easily could have kept Mcdonagh and iced pretty much the same forward group.
We scored 3 goals in that game. If those are goalie interference the game one challenge against Florida should have been called off too. Of course it’s some Frenchy ****ing ref, absolute ****ing joke

this game was brutal by the refs but no excuses for how bad the defense has been for the past 2 years

Well when you're a dominant team for half a dozen years you eventually have to pay guys closer to market value. That's the way it goes, at least you got a pair of cups out of it.

their downfall is generated from their front office

Yeah I get what you mean but that management team's aggressiveness also was a huge reason for the cups.

They made great moves and also terrible ones but then again there isn't a single GM in history who's only made good moves and no bad ones. The best you can ask for is to get a cup and some good memories out of it. I'd say Tampa did pretty well in the balance of things.

as a tampa fan I disagree as it could've been lengthened if they had a logical gm

I can see what you mean but then again it's not impossible that things can be turned around pretty quick. Kucherov, Point and Hagel still have a few good years in them and Vasi can always go beast mode at some point in the future. Plus it's not like Tampa would have trouble attracting free agents if they cleared a bit more cap.

yea but there lies the same problem with gm, he'll probably make the mistake of resigning stamkos instead of defense
