I wouldn't mind adding Toffoli. I wouldn't do it for that much term though.

It'll be interesting to see who they end up signing this summer. They definitely need a winger who can immediately be a top 6 contributor, but given the prospects they have that hopefully will be challenging for spots in the next couple years, they really can't sign anyone longer than a year or 2. Toffoli probably would want some term, so basically you're stuck with either an aging veteran willing to sign for a year (the Perron rumor makes senses in that context) or a reclamation project (which obviously is no guarantee of being that top 6 contributor they need).

Perron is the popular choice right now.

I don't know what GMBG is going to do, but he doesn't have much of a track record with signing more than fringe UFA players.

If his track record is anything to go on, he'll take his front office staff golfing on July 1st, they'll play paintball on July 2nd, maybe play some ultimate frisbee on July 3rd, take the 4th off to spend time with family and then see who's left to offer deals to on the 5th.
