Description
2024-25 stat prediction (rfas only)
Slaf 75-28-36-64 (can breakout more??)
Guhle 77-8-23-32 (might be a reach. Solidified top 4)
Wifi 59-7-8-15 (5x3.65) (solidified top 6 role)
Ylonen 64-12-9-21 (2x1.5) (solidified 4th rw)
Barron 66-9-11-20 (3x2.5) (solidified top 6 role)
() for actual contracts as the 3 expire at the end of this season.
These five got the extensions after there 23-24 season. Im expecting slaf and guhle to step up a lil more but not drastically. I might be dreaming but i hope barron and ylonen can become fulltime nhlers. Barrons pretty offensive so more games and icetime more points.
Wifi isnt a 82 game guy as he is a dog out there and with all the d mtl have i expect them to go into 2024-25 with at least 8 dmen with rotations where he gets less games.

The rest contracts either kick in like guhle and slaf or the rest expired after next season.

Stat predictions 24-25 rfas

Rhp 67-8-11-19 (solidified 4th lw)
Struble 48-5-6-11 (7th dmen)
Primeau 44-21-16-7 914% (solidifies starting g)
(Might be dreaming but posted good numbers with some blow out games this past season.)

I’m a bit confused as Hagens will be in the 25 draft & McKenna in the 26 draft. So I’m not sure which year you are shooting for . Regardless they both go (as it looks right now) 1st overall in their respective years & if the Hawks are in a position to take either, Mon has no shot & making a trade for them.

Where is Florian Xhekaj and Luke Tuch?

If Montreal is a playoff team it’s because they lean into a tough to play against mentality with that BIG, aggressive D with MSL pushing a strong forecheck otherwise they’ll need another identity than this ACGM

Your right if my prediction is accurate ylonen can be move andy and gally bought out or traded if the step up value.

Rhp tuch xhekaj pezz fill that aggresive 4th line roles

Beck mesar roy fill a good 3rd checking line.

Dach demidov slaf is a good big puck controlling line

Mcqueen and greentree are also good big body player. Realistically werent getting mckenna i forgot hes in 2 years not next years draft.

Newhook Suzuki Caufield are a good offensive line

I forgot mckenna aint available till 26 but that was just a troll trade aint no one giving up a franchise player.

    But 2024 id target
    Demidov and greentree

    2025 id target
    Mcqueen (better be #95)

Mtl will be so good and dominate with big strong talented forwards

So if I gather the information, you are saying MM to Detroit for a 1st, and 2 x 2nds?

Wrong team and no shot he returns that much.

Ur telling me a 60+ pt dmen for around 3 years on a bottom 5 team doesnt fetch a mid first and 2 mid seconds for a team that would want a pp merchant?

Maybe wrong team but seider the only puck moving dmen on that team but doesnt have mathesons elite skating and pp type of playmaking

When that team doesn’t need offense but does need to stop teams, no they don’t need him. Detroit also has Edvinsson, Walman, Maata, Chiarot with rumors they want Ghost back if it’s workable. Ghost is essentially MM offensively.

Just like MTL, Detroit has a bevy of LHD prospects for when Maata is gone next year (replaced by AJ/Wallinder) and Chiarot the year following (Wallinder/Buium).

Maybe you get that return for him, but I don’t think it will be THAT much, and certainly not from a team like Detroit.

He makes 4.8M, elite skater with 62 points. He's not Ghostbear.
He's always been incredibly talented but was played into the ground in Florida then was a monster in Pittsburgh by every metric.

I dont think the Habs should trade him for magic beans. I do realize 95% of everyone here would rather trade every decent player for a 1st round pick but that isnt a great strategy as Mtl found out with Arturi Lehkonen for a 1st and 2nd which many called too much at the 2022 TDL yet he's irreplaceable in Colorado, today!
Matheson is also irreplaceable in Montreal and I dont think Kent Hughes is going to give away another foundational piece just to make a trade for magic beans.

This a cap league and a top pair D at 4.8M with term and still young. You dont trade that kind of known asset. Hronek is going to get 7M AAV in Vancouver.
Matheson is an absolute steal right now at that AAV.

I didn't say he wasn't good lol however I do feel like you vastly underestimate Ghost (offensively).

Value is different to every team, so to Detroit, why waste the draft capital when they can re-sign a guy they know works for them? That is working on a short term problem when bigger problems are elsewhere.

There is also the chance that he doesn't replicate his first and only 60+ season being on a new/different team.

Im a habs fan and i agree with him being better then gos but at the same time hes a top 5 minute logger in the whole league.
Hes not great defensively but not bad either as hes mtls #1 and plays against every teams top lines and pp.

And with hutson and playoffs in the hunt id trade matheson for the best offer to package the top value return parts for a possible demidov Lindstrom necas zegras and johnston

Like most trades of known assets. You wont get fair value for Matheson. Just keep your good players when you aren't in cap trouble. Magic beans are overrated unless you are getting a top5 pick which never get dealt.
Use cap space and picks to add more good NHL'rs from desperate teams. Necas can be had for a very good prospect and pick.
