Marner just doesn't make sense for CGY. He's a pending UFA that won't sign here most likely. And we have very little players to play him with. Also RD is easily our weakest position and winger easily our strongest. Trading Andersson in our weakest position for Marner in our strongest doesn't make sense.

Obvs this deal would come with a Marner ext. But fair point. I think Lilly has the potential, but in TO he always has a different D partner and he needs to have just one guy to play an entire season with.

Calgary doesn't want Marner! He make absolutely no sense for the Flames.
