Pretty reasonable lineup. Gott think the Leafs sign a cheaper RHD, and spend a little more on a UFA goalie.

3 million for Edmunson is insane. He's a 3rd pair defender you can't handle the puck.

How do any of you have any sort of appetite to bring back the core 4? Let alone almost the exact same roster as this years

I guess the bigger question, how to do Leafs trade any of the core four? All four have NMCs. Now come summer of 2025 Tavares is gone for sure. Marner? The Leafs have to decide whether they can find better value with Marner's new contract than resigning Marner themselves (of course Marner has a choice too). I'm all for not resigning Marner .

Well all four have NMCs, so a think a trade is unlikely. (though I wouldn't mind any being traded) Summer of 2025, I'm all for not resigning Tavares and Marner.

I think you could force Marner into a trade

Not sure at all how you could "force" Marner. You certainly don't want to poison a dressing room by having a star player pissed on by management. Other UFAs in the future who might be considering the Leafs as a new home, would just eliminate the Leafs as an option since they don't respect NMCs.
