Cap friendly, where Buchnevich is worth more than Marner.

Lol, no one is offering a 1st. A 30 point bottom 6 guy is not worth a 1st. You guys need to give that up.

Just two the immediately pop up on google search. I don’t have the exact tweets or podcasts timestamps but Seravalli, Freidman, and all Flyers beat reporters have said the Leafs offered a 1st for Laughton at 2021 TDL, again in either 2022 or 2023, and St Louis offered a 1st in 2023. Ur opinion doesn’t trump facts. I don’t care what you think ur not a GM or a reporter ur just a random. I trust people that actually work in hockey.

To be fair it sounded like Doug shot that down and pivoted to Hayes due to the asking price for Laughton

It was reportedly the opposite. The Flyers wanted a 1st and 2nd and the Blues only wanted to give a 1st. Regardless it was confirmed by multiple reporters the Leafs offered a 1st to the Flyers at the 2021 deadline before Laughton was re-signed and have offered again since then.

Neither of those are legitimate in any way.

NSH declines. Not because of value, but because NSH isn't going to be the place that is going to resign Marner to the contract he wants. So NSH isn't going to give up their top 2 LW prospects for a guy who won't be with NSH in 2 years.

And before cap space is a concern, just because NSH has the cap space, doesn't mean they will use almost all of it to sign one guy. They have plenty of other concerns, including Saros's contract who is up at the same time as Marner.

Speculation is not reporting. Laughton is nothing special.
