C'mon. 20 man roster??? Reaves on LTIR., M NTC Jarnkrok and Kampf can't be traded anywhere.
Leafs NMC core four aren't going to be traded, though it seems a popular thought on CF

Reaves on LTIR is accounting for the fact that the buriable cap will be increasing next year to 1.35M, therefore his contract can fully be sent down

Now, that's true, it might 150,000 cap hit. But still no team goes doesn't go with six NHL Dmen.

I do agree with you on the fact that you need at least 8 good NHL defenseman on a playoff team, idk i just couldn't fit in in because I wanted to see what the team could look like with Montour

If we sign Walker instead, thats $2.4M in cap space to add a 7th/8th D and a 13th F

Both players can still be traded to 21 teams each. Do you want the author to be that specific and say "traded to one the 21 teams that are not on their NTC?" - You are nitpicking in a bad way with this one.

Here's the thing. Leafs fans are so determined in their thought that Jarnkrok and Kampf are bad cap value. Virtually all teams don't have cap....certainly more than 21 teams, why would value these so called non value players? I'm not nit picking, so many Leafs are so "homers" thinking they are only team that can rid themselves of non value cap players. No, it's bad take by so many Leafs fans trading. Kampf/Jarnkrok to "anywhere"
And really, how much cap do the Leafs trade by trading Jarnkrok? It's not 2.1m as they have to find a competent replacement.

I personally believe Kampf and Jarnkrok have value. I don't think they are cap dumps. Trading those 2 frees up enough cap to keep a guy like Bert.
