Description
I am one of the old people who was actually around when the Leafs won their last cup. It’s sad that so many younger fans haven’t seen their team even come close. To get the Leafs back to the days of even the early 90s, it’s going to take a gutting of the front office and the coaching staff. The new regime will have to make hard decisions regarding the core players. I think Marner is the obvious one to move because Tavares won’t want to leave and they’ll likely make a cheaper long term deal with him next offseason.

The Isles could look to make some moves and maybe some of their older forwards like Lee, Nelson, or Palmeri move on. This would give them some space for a trade for Marner.

The Jets need top 4 RHD not bottom pairing RHD and that isn't close enough in value for Ehlers anyways.

He isn’t bottom pairing material. Ehlers is worth a 2nd a prospect of similar value. He’s on his last year of his deal.

No he's a bottom pairing defenseman and Ehlers isn't worth far less now that he would be at the TDL.

At the trade deadline he will be worth less, not more. Did you not see what happened at this deadline? Jake Guentzel couldn’t even get a first back.

Okay. Whatever you say. Jets pass anyways. They're not giving Ehlers away for nothing.
