Is the idea that Spurgeon is a cap dump? Because you have enough cap space here, and I would accept the draft-place trade-up without his being in the deal.

Valid. I think that while Knies is great, he is by no means untouchable. Untouchable would be Matthews, Faber, Kaprizov, Nylander... but Knies, not so much. And the same goes with Rossi. His position is a premium one, he plays the game the right way and is great both on defense and offense 5v5. But is he untouchable? Clearly not. Just my thinking, though.

knies is a rookie too, has been everything toronto has needed for 8 years. good defensivy, physical, high iq, good passing, and already one of the best players in the league in board battles. hes never going to be a 100 point scorer but hes a very very very good work horse
