Description
If Marner won't waive this is a decent look at what the Leafs could do. Tanev has played for a lot of Canadian teams and Demelo is from London so hopefully decent chance they could be traded for.

Robertson's spot is open to competition from Cowan and Grebyonkin. Center depth is non-existent, only way to semi address that is going for someone like Lyubushkin instead of Tanev and using the money for a Domi.

If no one from core 4 is moved TML have 0 chance of winning till the next year when Tavares and Marner contract is over!

Another good UFA goalie can be had much cheaper. Five years of DeMelo is at least two years too many,,,,though I like your thought on DeMelo and Tanev,
By your roster, Leafs need a 7th NHL Dman and another NHL centre.

Ya, my bad, didn't realize he is an AHL goalie now lol.

Pivoted to Ned instead, they need someone and semi competent goalies are in very high demand.

Tanev I think will be the less likely one, might be looking for a more competitive team after his run with Dallas. Dallas has a lot of cap and it looks like not a lot of obvious places that will eat it up. Tanev probably stays but other options are Zadarov, Colin Miller, Alexandre Carrier, Sean Walker.

There are more bonafide options but I just don't believe they are leaving, guys like Montour, Pesce and Skjei I think are all staying with their respective teams.
