Description

Like a few Leafs fans on here have recognized, 8 guys have NMCs. You're not just going to be able to dump all of them. Frankly, I am not even sure the front office actually wants to dump any of them. I know everyone thinks (or wants) Marner will be the easiest to trade - but he's got Ferris as an agent and that dude leverages the heck out of NMCs. I wouldn't be shocked in the Leafs whether because they're forced to or because they want too, just ride out next season with the same team and then blow it up if history repeats itself.

That said, I went with the Marner option. Tried to pick somewhere I think he might be willing to go, who could afford him at a number Ferris would be okay with, and who is capable of providing an at least tolerable return.

Sorry posts like this don't make much sense. You would have to show how Minni could take an 11m in cap next season. Marner likely doesn't waive anyway and why Minni give up all that for one year of Marner.
Even worse why would Vegas trade two good cost efficient players?

Not sure what the last paragraph of your explanation means exactly??

If that subtext means Marner extends in Chicago, then the Hawks probably accept. Without an extension in place for Marner, the Leafs won't get anything they want for a one season Marner rental.

Vegas has no money. They can’t afford Theo or Thompson.
