Niederreiter ..... wow! I know when I think best defensive forwards that's who I come up with ....
That sounds like some Cains homerism if I've ever heard it.

The two best defensive forwards over the last 20 years.
Bergeron and Stone.
They both PKed.
When they went to play for their countries teams..... the PKed.
It's not even a question.
You just sound silly.

Nino and Ehlers was his shtick? LOL.

Bergeron
Marner
Stone
Hischier
Denault
Cirelli
Joel Eriksson Ek

I can keep going. Good defensive forwards, and some of the best in the league, kill penalties.

KK isn’t on the PK because he’s only had one good defensive year only playing against teams bottom 6 players. He’s not good against top comp like the players I listed above.

Don't write mile long essays and maybe I'll read it,

Because whenever somebody even remotely proves you wrong, you run for the hills.

Nice comeback though!

Bergeron and Stone are elite defensive forwards, but they also provide offensive threats. Neiderreiter doesn't. Look at the analytics, he's top 10 in almost everything, but he doesn't kill penalties. Aho didn't until maybe 3 years ago. Not every great 5 on 5 defensive force plays PK genius

You just sound brainless

your arguments are so weak.

You are trying to defense such a bad contract, which is clearly a losing cause.

I mean hell KK is such a great defenseman he's pilling up those Selke votes.

Just look at those great defensive analytics. 79 games played and ..... oh only 26 takeaways. oh wait never mind, don't mention that he turned the puck over himself 34 times..... clearly those are just his offensive struggles.... but it's a "bad" year, ignore this one.... look at last year..82 games played and wait.. crap only 29 takeaways with 48 giveaways. Well one of those years he was clearly a defensive stud. I don't remember which one it was but really it was one of them.

I don't know, maybe you think building up KK on capfriendly will somehow magically improve his trade value or something.
You know, GMs really care about the capfriendly opinion of players.

It's a horrible contract on a bad player.
The cains should not want stuck with that contract for 6 more years. But hey maybe you need another year of bad play to figure it out. Some people are slower than others on noticing the obvious.
Just remember everyone else has already figured it out. There is no need for any KK for a 1st trades because he's such a "good" defensive player.
Work more on the how can two teams try to salvage their disappointments trades. You might find luck in there.

So, your argument here is he doesn't kill penalties on the number 1 PK in the league, and he's not getting Selke votes when the Canes 4th best defensive forward is a Selke finalist... right, okay buddy.

no it's the fact that he creates very little turn overs, doesn't PK, gets most of his zone starts in the Ozone. And you want to call him a great defensive forward.

more giveaways than take aways, doesn't PK, hides in the Ozone.

But hey while hiding in the Ozone he doesn't give up as many goals.... shocked face.

oh and for the record.
Staal PKs and gets 55% of his starts in the Dzone.... not 40%.

This is only even strength numbers! Kotkaniemi doesn't kill penalties because he doesn't need to. He's a great 5-on-5 defensive force! No need to expose him on the PK when he's the go-to guy after the kill! But you screech (wrongly, might I add) into the void.

the "go to guy after the kill".... that's when teams try to score goals not play defense LOL

Yes.. even strength number where they deploy guys tells you all you need to know. Staal takes the defensive starts. KK hides in the Ozone... but hey.... defensive mastermind LOL

Funny, Staal has more O zone starts than D zone starts... it's almost like Carolina as a team have more O zone starts than D zone starts.... hmmm, why would that be?

. He's a great 5-on-5 defensive force!.

His defensive metrics were in the gutter this season. They were terrible.

The only reason they were remotely good LAST season is because he faces like 0 QoC. Mainly teams bottom 6 forwards. If you need proof of such, I'll provide it.

Elite defensive forwards face off against top competition. KK has never done that.

Nope, just have no interest in reading a 4000 word essay on why you are delusional! Nice try though

In other words: I have no way of debunking anything you said, so I'm going to insult you now.
