Rather the Avs kept Manson and didn't sign Walker and kept the first over the two 2nds. Malinski is almost certainly #3 RD. ZAR is one of those guys who might not be a bad pick up but with the extra from not signing Walker and Miller can easily afford Trenin as 4C. A lot will also depend on the Nuke situation.

Not trading Manson for that and 2 2nds one of them at least being almost a lock to be in the back half of 2025 isn’t equal value for a 1st rd pick. Also Brodie low key kind of isn’t any good.

Manson is bad man, do you not watch him? Walker looked meh whenever he was next to Jack Johnson and then looked good when they put him out with Toews. Walker is the better defensemen, I don't care about size.

Malinski should be on the third pair to start the season, you're right.

Have to agree to disagree on that one.

Manson was amazing for a 20-game stretch in the regular season. I think he's a good 3rd pairing guy, but we can't continue to pay him 4.5mil. We need to find a guy who's okay at defense and hits people for 2mil or less. It felt like Manson made a mistake that ended up in a goal in the majority of Playoff games this year. He's 33 and I feel like team be willing to take him off our hands, I just don't get why you like him so much. Need to be more cost-efficient.

Sean Walker is a perfect stylistic fit, and he played with a bit of physicality on the boards, at least when I watched him. Even if you don't resign him, I would move on from Manson. The front office should try to find a partner with Girard who plays physical and is good at defense, then get a solid 3rd paring guy to play next to Malinski. Manson's underlying numbers aren't good.

Walker was pretty much horrendous but everyone fell in love with him after the first couple of goals. Don't get why you think he's so perfect so like I said agree to disagree.

Agree to disagree sure, just confused. I might have mentioned this but Walker was great before he was hurt and when he came back wasn't. He also played next to Jack Johnson who makes every player he plays with worse. He also looked great in the one game he played away from JJ in the playoffs.(obviously need a better sample size) Also I don't see how Walker was horrendous, wasn't very good offensively, but looked fine defensively at least to me.

We obviously weren't watching the same games lol but it's all good. Maybe JJ hurt him as I'd agree on the comments there about him making everyone he plays with worse. It's time to say we're done with him for sure. I just don't see anything about Walker that makes me say 'must re-sign'. I also wouldn't say I'm opposed to trading Manson IF we could sign Tanev in free agency for example for less.
