Cap hell doesn't really happen until 2018 for the Hawks.

You only need minor moves to continue icing a competitive team for 2016-17.

Way to early to say what's going to happen in 2018. Sure many contracts are up, but a lot of teams have contracts up. You're assuming all of them are going to play like champions. Which I hope they do, but even then one will get traded for draft picks or other players like Brandon Saad and life moves forward. Should Edmonton be worried about cap two years away? I think they have 12 first round picks. Doesn't mean their next contract will get them superstar money.
