Centre doesn't seem to be a problem with Preds. Doesn't seem to be the Nashville way to offer big UFA contracts. If Nashville really wanted to spend 9.5m on a player, they could in free agency and not give up any assets like those 2 first rounders or Ellis or Wilson. Is Malkin deserving of being the third highest paid player in the league, now and 6 years into his contract? Bad value for Preds but great for Pens

I agree this is an awful trade for Nashville but how is centre not an issue for the Preds Palhal? You have said this on numerous occasions. They are really weak down the middle-they need a top line centre.

Hi Zack. My opinion is that Wilson is playing outta postion by playing winger, he is really a centre. Gee even Forsburg is a really centre but might be better winger in the NHL. To be a better playoff team, Nashville needs to get "heavier" on the wings.

Wilson has not played centre in 4 years. He is also a heavy winger. Forsberg has not played centre in 3 years and his skillset works quite well on the wing. To be a Stanley Cup contender they need a legit 1C.
