Why would Ducks want to trade for another D?? They already have a deep depth at the position. Ducks would never accept this one. Even with the retaining on Plekanec's salary.

To answer your question. We have seen so many bad Habs trades lately. Reeks of desperation of team on the decline. Habs have so little to offer in trades.
