Colorado isn't going to trade Jost.

They also will look to maximize their return for duchene and barrie. Quality not Quantity

I feel like the value is there, but I'd rather have Debrincat than Jost. I'd also try to get Schmaltz, but you gotta give something to get something, and Duchene+Barrie is definetly something.

A 60 goal scorer in junior (DeBrincat), a point a game player in college (Hayden), a legitimate 2C with good value (Anisimov), a high skill forward with top 6 potential (Schmaltz), a 1st round pick in a very deep draft and a couple of young players that need a change of scenery (Pokka and Hinostroza). There's plenty of quality in the trade.

Outside of AA it's all futures and no way Sakic moves Duchene and Barrie for futures and Jost isn't available no way can the Hawks afford both Duchene and Barrie they don't have the pieces.

The Avs need "futures".

This make absolutely ZERO sense. Why trade Duchene or Barrie unless you want "futures"? That is literally exactly what Sakic is looking for in a deal with Duchene. And this trade has EXACTLY that.

From a Hawks fan though, there is little chance I trade Nick Schmaltz. Trading DeBrincat would be hard too but there is still the question about him playing at a very high level and still producing. However, Schamltz will be a key contributor next year for the Hawks and will be a top 6 center in the next 2-3 years.
