Description

Another excellent destination for Tavares is San Jose. He'd essentially fill the role left by Joe Thornton and then some. But the salary could get a lot more complicated than that, as well as being able to entice JT enough to bring him in. That means going all out for this season. It would most likely include the Sharks shedding salary with Boedker and Martin, and then signing replacements for them. I'm not sure if Jack Johnson would sign for that AAV, but he could get replaced with someone like Emelin if not. Signing JVR allows the Sharks to have a super line of van Riemsdyk - Tavares - Pavelski. That would be the scariest line in the league, hands down. The salary is extremely tight, and I doubt they could make it work. But if they can do all the maneuvering before signing JT, San Jose would be an extremely enticing option for him

Wow I really like it, the only thing is that Tierney might sign for next season as well and he would be 4th line center isntead of Beagle... But the biggest upgrade should be replacing Dough WIlson as GM, this year´s offseason is just terrible and so was the last year (and of course signing JvR and Tavares is big improvement

)

San Jose is one of my teams of choice for Tavares. But no team in gong to trade for the unproductive Boeker and the declining money at 8.75m without sending money bad money to San Jose. Jersey or anyone could spend 8.75m much more wise on UFA than those fellows, and you want New Jersey to trade picks too?
