Expected for 17-18 plus hopeful Jenner trade at some point

Team: 2017-18 Columbus Blue Jackets
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 17, 2017
Published: Aug. 17, 2017

Description
Expected signings of Wenny and JA for with either what they are rumored for or comparables. A trade that is already on the table and waiting for C-MAC & Sakic to approve, a matter of if they will. You really think Duchene is really that good. Sure Jenner may not score 30 again, but do you think Duchene will?

Jenner wont get a huge major bump in salary if he has a season like he did last year though.... but if he does get 30 goals he deserves to get a bump and we have to keep him since hes a key peice

I agree, Duchene is a question mark, as he may have already peaked.
Granted he has played on a bad team, but Jenner brings intangibles other than just scoring.
There may be no need to acquire him at a high cost.

While Jenner can play C, he prefers W. Foligno filled in admirably at the pivot a couple years ago, and can do so again if needed in the 2C position, giving Dubi the 3C slot where he should be playing now. Don't count out Dubois to play 4W or 4C, as the word on the street is he is progressing very fast and may be able to take on a higher C role in a year or two 3C/2C behind Wennberg.

That is the offer for Duchene. He had a shitty year last season on a shitty team. We've seen him be explosive for team Canada. Let's see what he can do with the bread man and Cam. If Duchene puts up 60 points it's worth it. Duchene is still young and has high end skill. Not too many players on the this team have the high end skill piece.

He'll get a bump no matter what. And who would you like to give up if we sign him? Someone would have to go eventually, and now that Anderson is coming along he can fill that same role. Jenner = David Clarkson 30 goal yr in NJ. We don't need a ton of F's who can only pick up the garbage in front of the net.

I agree Jenner brings intangibles, but how much more leadership do we need on this team? Foligno, Dubi, and a host of guys who have been here during the last 4-5 yrs. I still think he is expendable.

I bet PLD will play some games, but unless he gets into the top 9, there is no sense giving him limited ice time. I agree he is definitely in the top 12, but don't keep him here if he doesn't see the ice.
