I like the fact that someone is willing to take Soderberg from the Avs retained salary or not. He could be a great fit for 3C in Pittsburgh.

Like the Karlsson trade for the Pens, but I'd guess Vegas would want more to give up 3 cheap years of Karlsson.

Not a fan of the Soderberg trade even with the salary retention. He'll be 32 at the start of the season, and it just looks like he could really start to decline. He's never been a good shooter with 3 straight years no sub-10%, and Colorado really cut his ice time this year.

Id probably do it because I hate Soderberg, but oof. Thats alot of money to retain on a guy who could easily hit 30,40, 50 points again in Pit. And the Avs have quantity of LD not quality, I dont see Pouliot being ahead of Zadorov, Barberio, Mironov or Bigras.

I really like the Karlsson trade, I think he'd be a great fit on the Pens on the 4th line and PK.
