I Belive Tavares Would Take $8,500,000 To WIn At Home. Plus, Marner And Nylander Would Not Take That. Probably Between $7,500,000 To $9,000,000 Would Work.

Aren't we going into 2017-2018 this year. A lot can happen in 2 years. Besides, Tavares contract expires after this year, so we would have to sign him for 2018-2019.

I don't see Tavares coming to the Leafs unless it's for one year like Pierre Lebrun speculated (I think it was him) but I agree with the above comment that he's probably take a pay cut to play here, but then again I'm not sure what the market will be like when he goes FA. At the end of the day, would Tavares sign a long term deal to be a second line center? Or play under 20 minutes a night? Maybe if the promise of a dynasty is there, but I doubt it.
Also, I don't see the need for De Haan, especially if the team is resigning Gardiner (which I also don't think will be very likely given the depth in defensive prospects the Leafs boast, but they could have a need for him) and if they do re sign Gardiner I can see him asking for north of 5 million per season.
Another point to make is that Marner and Nylander will, as said above, ask for north of 7 million, possibly even north of 8 million if they become true super stars.

The Big 3 and Tavares all get 1 million more each.

Silly to think that you can have 20 man roster. Absolutely no money for upcoming RFAs. All this to sign a declining Tavares?
