I don't understand everyone's fascination with bringing Shawzie back. I loved him, I miss him in the sweater, but that ship has sailed. Shawzie has back problems, has had them for awhile. He's overpaid if he's 100% healthy, much less the injury risk he is now.

Anisimov sucks at FO%, but he brings a hell of a lot more than that to the table. That line needs a LW who can take draws in his place, like, say, Matt Duchene. Shame the only player that would've fetched him is now in a Columbus sweater, but so it goes. #15 is here to stay.

Also, putting Hossa on LTIR at any point where it incurs more than $100,000 in cap hit is pretty irresponsible, especially when others have shown it can be done when the team cap only has $205 left... Waste of highly valuable cap space...

I wonder if it's because people like the nickname too much, because I don't see it either. As you said, even if healthy, it'd be almost $4M per season for a player that floats between the four lines. Besides, they already have Hartman to agitate, take the occasional bad penalty and chip in 20 goals.

I know...I more so was just doing this to show the lineup. I could have done it in a way to maximize cap space, but didn't feel like putting in the time to do that.
