Take out Moulson and I think the bruins would have to at least think about it. Should be right in terms of value which is surprising for one of your trades. Not sure about the avs trade...

Those are actually pretty fair tbh. I think Buffalo is ready to make a splash like that.

Take out Stephens & Meloche (or maybe sub in a lower left hand D prospect for Meloche but then you're just swapping prospects so unless the GMs are really high on one, one way or the other or both, then that's kind of pointless) and I'd definitely have to think about it if I were Sakic. Meloche is a kid they have tagged as really promising who I don't think the Avs would want to part with as they're heading into full rebuild and he's one of their few RHD prospects who is coming up close to NHL ready (Makar & Timmins will be a while yet I think). Personally I'd be loathe to see Landeskog go unless the offer were too good to resist. Only major problems I see are the Avs likely then have to move Bogosian on again or one of Barrie & Johnson as they would have one too many right handers wanting lots of minutes and that at 27 Bogosian is older than the Avs are really looking for, but it's not a bad effort at all on trying to give equal value.

You are seriously emptying on high draft picks for the next two years though from Buffalo's PoV.

No and maybe. The first is far to risky for us and honestly doesn't help all that much. Pasta has had one huge year and will be given a ton of money. Our last one we did that for was he shall not be named. Not to mention you're gutting the pool to get a small upgrade at wing. The Landeskog trade however I'd be interested in. If anything though I'd worry about trading 2 dmen for a rook even with Landeskog I'd pause a bit. But likely bite, only if Guhle has a solid camp and we don't start 2 rooks on the 3rd pair

I dont believe it's a small upgrade, thats why they are spending so much to get him. Sabres need a goal scorer, they have to many guys padding their stats with assists

Sabres can afford to empty out the picks for 2 years, they have a ton of prospects and long term contracts on their roster. they should be pushing for playoffs. Johnson gets hurt a lot, so they may not have to worry at all about ice time or prospects, over the next 3 seasons he may play one close to full one. If Colorado is taking I would think they move Johnson too, due to his contract, length and term

Also I'm struggling to think of a player that the Sabres traded a ton for after he had one good season, paid a ton of money, then sucked. Kulikov, Hodgson? I would say no and no
