I think you get more than a 1st (regardless of position) for Pacioretty. His contract right now is fantastic for what he does. That is a selling point i think you missed.

I think your package for Nugent-Hopkins is almost spot on. Gallagher's injury history would be a deterent, but its a solid package. I think if I'm the Oilers i want Eller over Plekanec though......

My major criticism is that i think you have failed to add a mobile defenseman. The 2 kids can skate, but the rest of the blueline might as well be construction pylons. If your gonna gut it, why not chase Jake Bean??? He's there. The Canes have defense to move. You can't tell me offering Pacioretty in a package isnt going to be of interest to the Canes (or Shaw and a pick for that matter)..... food for thought.
