Nashville all in

Created by: PhilTheThrill
Team: 2017-18 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 15, 2017
Published: Sep. 15, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Ellis, although gone for a while, can be replaced momentarily by Irwin and Weber, with Gormley providing depth on the back end. Duchene obviously deepens center depth, and replaces Jarnkrok. I believe Girard and Jarkrok with a draft pick is enough, especially now.

Ya right. All of those is a massive overpayment for Duchene and his distraction he's causing. His value is at its lowest, and the trade I offered is Nashville's best D prospect, a first, and Calle Jarnkrok.

Agree with ChiHawks34, if you want Duchene be prepared to lose of one your D in my opinion.

Add Fabbro? So trade the organizations best 2 defensive prospects, Jarnkrok, and a first round draft pick for a player with two years left on his deal? That's not going to happen.

In my opinion, trading one of Ellis/Josi/Ekholm is number one an over payment, especially for Duchene in the market now, and two, does not benefit Colorado's want to create a young blueline. All 3 guys are in their late twenties, whereas Colorado is going to want a young prospect, such as Girard, that can make the jump.

26, 27 & 27. Sakic's asking price has always (reportedly) been a top 4 D and young (plus whatever else). That IS young for an established top 4 D. Pretty much everybody says D mature slower/take longer etc, etc. Avs have a scutch of D (especially LHD) who could make the jump (whether to top 4 or not is questionable) to the NHL and I would imagine Sakic's desire to pick up a top 4 LHD is even greater with any questions over Zadorov signing. As for overpayment - maybe.
