Description
Everyone can agree that the Matt Duchene saga just needs to come to an end, but it's also clear that Joe Sakic has no intention of backing off of his asking price. So what would the opening night roster look like with Duchene in the lineup?

Pretty much, but i don't think Bigras makes the team. I'd say 5 and 6 are Lindholm and Mironov

Probably not far off though Landeskog may skate with MacK and Rantanen. Compher will centre the third line rather than Jost (Jost would move to RW in your line up or to LW and Andrighetto to RW if Landeskog goes to the first line). Switch Lindholm & Bigras as Bigras can play both sides and Lindholm is more left only oriented. Mironov, Bigras and Lindholm are most likely going to be battling for the last pair. Maybe Cowen (if signed from PTO) or Siemens join them if they decide to go with 8 D and leave Kerfoot or Jost in San Antonio, but I see Kerfoot staying up from his pre-season form. Can't rule out Warsofsky either for the D. That's the most fluid area.
