Haha the Habs have nothing of interest to Columbus, unless if you want to part with Galchenyuk or Drouin

Early thought process for me was Anderson and CBJ clearly can't agree on a contract. That somewhat puts CBJ in a disadvantage in trade negotiations, however besides that if columbus was interested in replacing him I would start with McCarron from the habs. 1 year younger, also a beast but hasn't had a successful NHL season yet.

At the same time I completely understand using him as part of package to get a big player.. something the habs really aren't in a position to offer.

And having said that I would trade galchenyuk but then more has to be coming back from CBJ.

Should be done, sakic will counter with something to ruin the deal tho, he doesn't seem to know what he's doing out there

Idk man its been "reported" that Sakic wanted Carlsson instead of Murray. And that CBJ was previously unwilling to include Anderson in a Duchene package.

It fits the ask of player + prospect + pick. If anything the hold up would be on CBJ side. imo

Calvert is the problem for me in the trade, of little value to a rebuilding team to be taking on 27 year old average wingers (they already have one who is better in Wilson, and one who is terrible at the moment in Colborne as well as an even older one in Comeau and another guy who might have to play wing in Soderberg), the idea is to get younger. Switch Calvert & the 1st for Murray & a 2nd, and the 3rd from Colorado for Barberio and I'd go for it from the Avs side. Murray, Carlsson, 2nd, Rights to Anderson for Duchene & Barberio. Blue Jackets probably wouldn't though.
