fair trade?
everyone thinks we'll be able to get Tavares in the open market. Isles won't let it get that far IMO - so they trade him.
I don't know how to do a trade and sign scenario here but that would be the only way I would do this trade.

I think it gives a fair return in Patches along with the 2nd. (Fucale and Davidson as add-ons)

Getting Tavares without trading a 1st isn´t likely to happen. The difference in worth between Pacioretty and Tavares is more than a 2nd rounder.

I like the suggestions and have updated accordingly.
Only thing is that I'm not sure about offering a first if we're giving up Patches.
Over the past 5 years - they're not that far off from each other in goals scored and Tavares does have the lead in total points.
Offering the second would be the difference maker there instead of the first - can't see a first going the other way with any other team either
