At this point I'd be ok with it. I'd prefer to move Patches for futures only though and truly rebuild. Not "band-aid" the problem.

I know what ya mean would speed the process up but RNH could be a good centre that the habs need. He's been killing it on the dot lately and he seems to have that drive. Paches is struggling as of right now and would florish beside Connor

Why not? Gives you a legit centre. Plekanec is too old. Danault is good but may of over achieved last year. Drouin is good but would be better to have RNH centring the top line with drouin playing left wing

Yup I'd love RNH and he makes the most sense but that would be what a GM would do if he thinks his team is capable of winning a cup. This team can't win a cup as is and adding RNH only delays the inevitable. If this start to the season showed us anything its that MTL who wasn't that good to begin with, is worse off and financially built inefficiently. Time to undo the silliness that MB caused and wipe the slate clean.

It's a good draft this year. Maybe be sellers hey? Would you do let say Tyler benson a 2018 first and 2018 3rd for patches? I get you lose a big offensive weapon but it's seem that Montreal lacks depth (as do the oilers) but we have two number one centres on our team. Would you make that trade?

On the Mike Green deal it would be a 2018 1st round pick+2019 4th round pick no way is Holland moving Green without a 2018 1st coming back.

I know that trading patches now is a good idea to get some value versus loosing him to free agency, but then who scores goals for the Montreal Canadiens? They need someone to step up hugely but I don’t think anyone is ready to fill patches shoes. Rnh is definitely not scoring 35 goals. I would want a deal something like patches and a second for Yamamoto.

Oh I'm sure you'll have someone step up. Drouin would have less to worry about if he's put on the wing. RNH could florish even more with top line minutes and galchenyuk can be moved to right wing or try second line centre and put gallahger beside Drouin and RNH
