Description
Hopkins:
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/nugent-hopkins-must-master-draws-justify-salary-role-oilers/
- Oilers have to trade RNH due to salary alone.
- Sutter provides a saving and is a better defensive player than RNH which the Oilers need now.
- ~$4m for a solid and relatively young (28) player with a high 5on5 Corsi% makes a lot of sense.

Dal Colle and Pulock:
- NYI wants to make a run and both Dal Colle and Pulock have underperformed quite significantly since being drafted.
- Gudbranson can provide a secondary (Boychuck) crease-clearing blueliner to NYI for the interim.
- Granlund is underrated and can play in a number of roles. ~20 goals, top 6 or in a checking role, across positions (C, LW or RW).
- Trymankin is projected to be a top 4 and is another prospect for the Isles. Played great last year and is very mobile for a big man.

Canucks:
- Effectively buying low for all players but providing needed pieces for contending teams.
- All players acquired are still very young and have potential regardless of how they are currently playing.
- Salary is a wash between these deals.
- Still competitive with the addition of these players.

granlund and gudbranson are better than dal colle and pulock and its a high risk whether or not they will even be good. Bad trade.

High risk, high reward. Nucks should trade them now (Guddy is a UFA anyway).

Guddy will re-sign, I am confident of that. That package for Dal Colle and Pulock is too much, without Tryamkin, with him and when Tryamkin comes back to the NHL..... well it may go down as one of the worst the Canucks ever made.
Also not a fan of RNH especailly with what he doesn't bring, in a couple of years he will be a 6mil 3rd line centre that cannot defend
