    MacKinnon and the Avs want a long term contract, not a bridge and this makes the Avs way worse overall. Their strong forwards get stronger to the point where they can't even get enough TOI to be used efficiently and their terrible defense gets significantly worse. Hurts the Avs

    I like Virtanen, but I think the rumours of him being traded are ridiculous. He was the 6th overall pick seven months ago, they're not going to give up on him already, especially since it's the same GM that picked him that high. Also, I'd rather sign MacKinnon long-term than have Stamkos. Need a top-four defenseman more than another centre.
