Description
Trading Michael Stone to Ottawa will help them sign Mark Stone for less to have the brothers together. Trade Lazar to anyone for a 3rd to get something back. Pay big for Neal on a 6 year deal. Bring back Jagr if he still wants to play and is performing. If not go after Nash on a 1 year deal, but will most likely be an overpayment as I am sure he will want term. Switch out Brouwer and Hathaway depending on who is playing better. Buyout Brouwer after the season to pay Tkachuk. Put Bennett back in the middle if he gets his $hit together and deserves it. Gillies is ready now as a backup and would love to see him get a full year under Smith and hopefully he can start the following year. If Gillies is not ready sign Smith to a 1 year deal if he is still playing well. Trade one of the top 4 the following season as one of the bottom guys should be ready for top 4 duty and bring up another prospect.

OTT doesn't have the cap space to take on M. Stone contracts outright. With their own Stone to resign this offseason (and he's in store for a HUGE raise), and Karlsson and Duchene the year after...yikes! OTT are more likely to go after a rental more than anything else.

Far rather Calgary trade some of their better prospects to Ottawa for the rights to Mark Stone. Then buyout Brouwer.
