Initial Creation Date: Nov. 13, 2017
Published: Nov. 13, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Schmaltz has shown a little bit of promise as a center, but with yesterdays game, he has shown he has much more promise as a winger. Maybe trade for another offensive 3rd line center or send down kero and call up highmore or dauphin. I also havent really liked what ive seen out of sharp lately. On to the defense, Q needs to sack up and reduce Seabrooks role already. He is hurting the team.

No idea why you have little/no interest in Tanner Kero. Exactly what has he done or not done to be waived at this point? If you want to call up Highmore and Dauphin, then do something with Oesterle first. There is no reason to have 8 dmen on the roster when the team has such a time scoring most nights. To my point, in his two games back, Kero has a goal and an assist and has fared decent (for a Hawk) on the dot. While he might not be an integral part as a center, there sure aren't many if any that have done better in these past two games. I am very glad he's been reinstated into the lineup and hope Q (but no A) keeps him active.

As for your lines and pairings, Sharp should be healthy scratch and so should his old buddy Seabrook!! Then move Murph back to his natural right side with Kempny.

Notice how I didn't send him down in this? I agree with you that he has been doing fine, but I am saying that he isn't exactly the greatest center for alex debrincat as a more offensive minded center would be. Given how well debrincat has done in the defensive zone for a rookie though, I would say it would definitely be fine for now. As for scratching seabrook, I do agree with you, but there is no way on earth quenneville scratches seabrook. So I am thinking how quenneville would roll them. If it were up to me, seabrook would be gone by now. But the likelihood of that happening in the near future is slim to none.

You bet, bud. In your explanation you did basically say to get rid of Tanner to which I took exception. I also noticed you kept him on your roster and sent Oesterle elsewhere. This team has too many similar players vying for limited spots. Kero is one of those who doesn't seem to have a place yet has produced whenever called upon. Honestly, does Pat Sharp have any more to offer than a guy like Tanner Kero? NO. And Seabrook, yep, he's not going anywhere, EVER! Because that is the unfortunate case, why not use him as a PK specialist so he won't be in the wrong zone anyways due to his regressed skating skills?! IMO, again if he HAS to play, he is more like a 6-7 right now and worthy of the 10-12 minutes Murphy gets.
