Why would NSH do that trade? They already have Rinne and his successor in Saros.

Nashville is in a win-now mentality, and could use a great backup this season and heading into the playoffs. The following season (Rinne's last on his contract) he and Grubauer would share the games, as 1A and 1B goalies, and the following year (2019-20) Grubauer would be the main starter and Saros would backup, while playing around 30 games. I think the ability to slow-cook Saros will maximize his potential instead of possibly rushing him.
