Description
The top 10 picks are pretty realistic in terms of when they'll go in the draft. Obviously things may change depending on the lottery, but overall this is pretty accurate to as to where they'll end up on draft day.

Sure Detroit scored the 4th fewest goals this season, but they were also in the bottom-10 in league in team defense. They ranked 20th in the league in Net Shot Attempts at -171, meaning that they allowed 171 more shots throughout the season than their opponents. The only full-time defenseman that Detroit has that ended with a positive SAT was Nick Jensen at +62.

Sure, an offensive defenseman like Boqvist is going to add more shots to the mix, but stronger two-way guys like Hughes are going to add plenty of shots and they are also going to suppress a ton of shots. At the end of the day, Detroit needs help both creating shots and suppressing shots from the blue line, and Hughes does that a little bit better than Boqvist. Neither of them are a bad choice at their pick, but I tend to lean more to Hughes here.

They're both very similar, don't know how someone could argue all the way the other way. Hughes is more a slightly complete player right now but boqvist is one of the youngest players in the draft. Quinton Hughes plays for the wolverines so I'm sure the wings scout him well since he's in state.
