What's the rule of thumb for min roster and open cap ?? 22 man roster min? And true about contract I'm working out a 1 yr Barrie deal if it's possible to store the $ for the Hyman Reilly resigning s

Barrie on a 1 year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>If Barrie wants to sign a 1 year deal to rebuild his value there are MUCH better teams to do it with than Toronto. For starters he'd want to go somewhere he could be the defacto PP QB.
Teams like Winnipeg, Calgary, Detroit, Montreal, Ottawa, New Jersey, Anaheim, Arizona, Edmonton, or LA, would be much better fits. Heck even Colorado would be a more attractive place for him despite getting traded away, as it's a place where he has friends, where he knows he can be successful, and where he could contend for the cup.</div></div>
And no reason he couldn't qb 1st PP , Reilly could take #2 both would be fine me thinks

Are all of those teams looking to replace their 1st line D ?? (Thats legit an honest question not being sarcastic) and I honestly believe the leafs could contend with this lineup and coaching, they will hopefully have more guys uninjured next round and were performing pretty well in that stretch considering some wonky goaltending before getting campbell

Barrie on a 1 year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nics6ix</b></div><div>Engvall does not provide much value on the fourth line IMO. He is a great hard worker and a speedster who can add an element to the third line with talent. Engvall alone does not have much pure talent and that's why I think he is honestly a waste of salary if you put him on the fourth line.
Also, Ottawa right now stockpiled their draft picks for this year and I really don't think they would lose 4 of them on a 3C. Kerfoot is heavily undervalued on this site, but not to this extent. He is not worth 4 rebuilding picks.</div></div>
As far as evengall - what about switching him and spezza throughout the season after Robertson gets some time with the vet and evengall gets some more time at center since his last time was marlies? Plus spezza ain't getting younger so all the more reason to swap lines part way through and have a fresh 3c ??

Keep Dermot and Kerfoot plus the picks plus have over 1m in cap space over instead of Ellis</div></div>
