Possible UFA Targets
These trades are bad for the Bruins.
None of the UFA make much sense. Acciari maybe, but the Bruins already have enough 4th liners without him. I'd like to see the Bruins actually carry an extra skilled forward next season instead of 4x 4th liners. No more Nordstrom or Wagner in the top 9, they're clearly better players when put on the 4th line.

His skating is his best asset lmao. He moves great for someone his size. He got beat a couple times but you're not an astute fan. What you're seeing is that Krug gets beat 3-4 times a game but Carlo comes over and stuffs the Forward bailing Krug out and then Carlo lets 1 guy by and Krug is nowhere to be found lmao. Ask any Bruins fan, Carlo carries that pair Defensively.

& I know for a fact you're highly overpaying for Carlo by retaining on Spurgeon AND taking Backes' contract. Carlo isn't that good. & his ceiling doesn't project to be that high. He got beat over and over again by Toronto's speed going wide, on him. Think you're better off maximizing your asset in Spurgeon elsewhere</div></div>
Carlo's already passed what his initial ceiling was, his ceiling now is as an elite shutdown defenseman who can jump up in the rush because of his excellent skating. He didn't get beat very much at all against Toronto and was arguably the Bruins best defenseman like he's probably been all year. in fact he had to cover up for Krug on a lot of occasions so you clearly watched like 5 highlights and try to pass it off like you know what went on the entire series. Carlo was one of the bright spots for the Bruins.

Bruins pass easily. Backes and a 3rd or 2nd for a bag of pucks is about what the Bruins would consider. Carlo should be untouchable given his performances this year and his upside. He's probably been better this year than Spurgeon honestly imo.

Yeah I don't think I've done a Vegas mock, so I wasn't as aware of their Salary structure. They don't have a really high cap hit guy but I guess if you add enough 5M players together they can add up to a high team cap all the same.

I think you're right about Moore. Clifton is a no brainer here. I like him almost as much as Kevan Miller at this point and he probably has the upside to be a better player than Miller in the long run.

trading for Buffalos first round pick LAK dump contracts and gets an early pick
This would be a complete steal for Buffalo if they were really skilled at drafting in the middle and later rounds.
7 could end up like another Nylander who really hasn't looked that good thus far, so who would you rather have Alex Nylander or all of that package?

I'd trade Eakin and Reaves lol. I don't care what I get in return, Tuch's going to be worth 7M+ a few seasons from now and he's locked in forever.
They better get something really good if they trade Tuch. A real Blue Chip prospect, not a package of B- prospects and 3rd round picks.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the difference between Krug and Tuch. You're saying they'd potentially trade Tuch straight up for ELC's without an established player coming in order to save cap? Maybe if they are Can't miss prospects, but I don't think Tuch is the guy you want to "dump" (its not really a dump but you know what i mean) in order to save money. His contract looks like a gem.

Right, but you're giving them 2 ELCs who could possibly make the team. That atleast cancels out the addition of the 500K imo.

Did he edit the trade or something? This deal adds 500k in cap + 2 ELC's to Vegas. Your comment isn't coherent unless he edited this after you wrote it which is what I'm hoping has happened because if you're trying to make a point about 500K being a lot of caphit or something even less impressive about ELC's fitting into their team it's really just going to fall on deaf ears because it isn't at all rational.

William Nylander wasn't worth his contract this year. He scored 7 goals in 54 games and has a half point per game pace. That's mediocre for a 3rd line player. The team should have traded him straight up for Pesce a year ago, but now he doesn't have as much value as Pesce imo. Larsson is a good target because I consider him a lesser player than Pesce, but I don't think you'd get Poolparty in that deal as well unless you add picks. Connor Brown and Garret Sparks have next to no value.

The goal was fine. Not that it even matters considering the refs gave you a free one when Marchand was clearly offsides. But whatever. Boston lost and they deserved to lose. Hell they were handed 3 penalties and came up empty handed.
Hell if it wasn't for Bergeron putting up incredible numbers in the circle this series wouldn't even be close. 21 and 8 for 72% last game. That's the only thing stopping Toronto from steam rolling Boston at this point.
If they were winning possession off the puck drop it wouldn't even be close.</div></div>
Well, it's official buddy: YOU WERE COMPLETELY WRONG LMAO. No gooning after game 2 and the Bruins still won. That's what happens when you make foolish predictions using your heart instead of your brain lmao. The Bruins were the favorite and the team that should have won. Better coaching, better defense, better goaltending equal forwards in everything but 1 on 1s which rarely ever happens. Hopefully you learn not to be so foolish, but your a leafs fan so this is likely to happen again for you lmao.

Honestly I think "No Lucic Trade" is something we can all get behind..... well maybe everyone except Oilers Fan but really why would you want to give up the amount of draft currency it would take to move him? It'd cost more than a 3rd rounder to dump his contract given the term and this team needs to add more young talent to compete.

Would this free agent be a good fit
He's okay and that is a pretty reasonable price for him, but I think the Bruins fill holes with younger players.
Studnicka and Frederic probably both get some time at 3rd C and maybe JFK too if he's not used to dump Backes to Minnesota.
Also, you basically took Heinen out of the lineup to add Wilson. I wouldn't do that personally as Heinen has the higher career year in terms of point totals per a single season and he's 6 years younger. That in itself suggests Heinen has the higher offensive upside and the reason he's stayed in the lineup even when he wasn't scoring is because of his sound defensive positioning and responsibility. Finding a way to develop Heinen > signing a 29 year old stopgap.

Chicago needs defensive help though and Scandella is capable of having a bounce back year in a better system. As a fan of neither team I think it's fair, but maybe like a 5th round pick could be added going to Chicago to get the deal done. I just did it straight up because it makes the mock look cleaner than adding in a bunch of late picks everywhere.

Two trades to do
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChytilMania</b></div><div>I didn’t know much about Kevan Miller’s game. I personally still wouldn’t want Kevan Miller but I bet Gorton would</div></div>
It depends. If he wants to "rent" a defenseman for zero cost it's a solid option. He traded a 4th, conditional 7th and Steven Kampfer for McQuaid. Then turned around and traded McQuaid for a 4th, 7th and Julius Bergman who has higher upside than Kampfer who's like a 9th defenseman. If it's a trade like that then it makes sense to do to stay competitive adding a gritty dman who can play 18-19 minutes a night and then recouping the picks you traded for him at the deadline because he's a pending ufa just like McQuaid was. I thought what they did with McQuaid was smart, so I'd think the same thing if they did it with Miller who's, by most peoples accounts, better than McQuaid.
