So LA what would it take
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BuckRogers</b></div><div>Martinez is not worht more then a Second round If not a Third</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gabriiel40</b></div><div>Well...Martinez is both older than Muzzin and not as good as Muzzin...therefore it stands to reason that it would cost less...oh and just because the leafs paid a very high price for Muzzin doesn't mean the Habs need to pay a very high price for Martinez...Bergevin has already mentioned that he is not mortgaging the future for now, that includes trading prospects and our high picks.</div></div>
See, I don't know what Martinez is worth, all I know is la is asking for the Muzzin deal, so I figured they were about equal and would get roughly the same.

Helping Oilers at the trade Deadline
It's an attractive way to buy picks (taking on salary for picks). 4.5M$ of Lucic for 5 yrs... that's a long time for a 1st rd pick and a 2nd rd pick. If both are 2019 picks (giving MTL 4 picks in the first 2 rounds), then it becomes tempting... Especially when Pierre McGuire claims it's a deep draft.

I would not trade 1 of the Kings players for that package let alone both. Hudon, Reilly, Schlemko have litte trade value. 3rd, 4th, 5th round pick respectively.

I agree... to make it happen I would go for Lindholm in ANA, younger and he is not the Ana stud like Fowler the past 7 years.

The trade has good value, not sure Anaheim would do it but IDK. Also, unless Poehling gets out of school early (unlikely) he’s not going to play in the NHL this year, because when he signs his contract, he won’t be eligible for the playoffs, and I doubt MTL gives a spot to someone that won’t play in the playoffs. That’s why you see College players only sign with Non-playoff teams (Mittlestadt, Boeser). I could see him playing a few games for Laval though.

Try to fixe this team it??s not easy
thing is, you cant fix EDM, no one can, not even the best GM in the NHL can, chia has traded away everything of value and all thats left cannot be traded because that would be filling one hole while making another one.

Futur options
I highly doubt Taylor Hall would resign with Montreal, so unless it's a sign and trade, Montreal won't be acquiring Taylor Hall, of course unless he is very cheap.

Montreal is one of the bigger cities in the NHL (He wants to play for a big market). When he came from the KHL, he was going to sign with Montreal before choosing to go Chicago at the very last moment. I don't think the chance of him coming to Montreal is as low as you think.

Leafs Solution at D Looking to improve the Roster for next years to come
So you post one of the most obviously over valued trades in your team's favour as a solution for the leafs and cry about me laughing at it. Okay then, here is some constructive criticism.
You badly overvalue your players, and you offer a dman that Toronto has plenty of (ofd) at an absurd mark up. Toronto doesn't need any top 4 dman, we have plenty, we need a solid twd that can play the right side, of which we have 3 developing (one in the NHL now) and a 4th if you count Rielly (who has played most of his career on the right).
On top of that, Toronto has one of the best goal differentials in the league and is a top 10 performer defensively. While a good portion of that is due to Andersen, and the D is an important aspect to upgrade, going out and badly overpaying for guys that they don't need is nothing but a panic move and won't actually help us.
I am glad that you are able to take light hearted criticism as well as you are, so I hope you take this response even better. You deserve all of the one stars.
Merry Christmas

they have surprised so far, its only a few games in but still surprising to see a team projected be the second worst in the division to be leading it right now. Still would not think they would make it, Toronto, tampa, boston are all better, even florida should be better.
