2023 mock draft........... leave your thoughts
I wouldn’t be happy with Christall to the Canucks. Really not what they need because they have lots of smaller players and his average speed may mean limited expectations to be a force in the league. Reinbaucher, Danielson or Moore would be much better.

The year after next
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Borocop</b></div><div>I actually have a question for canucks fans. what do you think of Rafferty/ what is he? as an outsider, I think he's an intriguing option that i would like the sens to take a "flyer" (because he's 25 and hasn't played in the NHL) on with one of the cap dumps vancouver may be looking to send out to us, but ive also seen him as a highly ranked canucks prospect even when he was 23 and in the AHL so im not super sure what to think.</div></div>
He seems too good for the AHL. His offence seems good enough. The question is his defense. If there are no further defensemen signed he has a good chance to start next season on the bottom pairing. He has the potential to move up the depth chart over time, but still has lots to prove at the NHL level. Right now he is in the top defensive prospect mix with Juolevi and Rathbone, but he plays the right side which gives him an advantage on the Canucks. I’d say he has a 50-50 chance to make the NHL.

Adelphis custom roster
Jake was on a 20 goal pace and has arbitration rights. He’ll be getting Kassian type money - about 3.2 million - or they’ll let him walk. The rest looks good.

Lafreniere To Canucks
Eriksson’s cap hit is six million, but his remaining actual salary is only 2.5 million for the next two years, so it is not a huge ask for any non-cap team. Personally, I like Hoglander and thought it was a generous offer, but if they get Laffy in the lottery, the Canucks winger depth is really good, so moving out one of a Hoglander or Lind seems doable since the other would stay, and the year after the Canucks would still have Podkolzin coming. If not Detroit, I think someone else would take the deal. But it all depends on signing Toffoli, too. If he chooses to go back to California, the Canucks don’t really have to move Eriksson.
