Hoglander would be a nice addition for the Wings, might be worth taking a couple cap dumps to acquire him.

Wings are not taking two cap dumps with multiple years for on every good prospect. Canucks would need to add, espicially with cap remaining the same for up to 3 years

Detroit says no, We're not taking on Eriksson's contact without at least a good pick or a very good prospect coming back. At least add Demko to the deal or Dipietro or no way.

I like hoglander, but dipietro or demko have to be in the conversation or it's a no go

Eriksson’s cap hit is six million, but his remaining actual salary is only 2.5 million for the next two years, so it is not a huge ask for any non-cap team. Personally, I like Hoglander and thought it was a generous offer, but if they get Laffy in the lottery, the Canucks winger depth is really good, so moving out one of a Hoglander or Lind seems doable since the other would stay, and the year after the Canucks would still have Podkolzin coming. If not Detroit, I think someone else would take the deal. But it all depends on signing Toffoli, too. If he chooses to go back to California, the Canucks don’t really have to move Eriksson.
