What is the value on Valeri

Absolutely. I wouldn't want almost $3 million going to a guy who scores ~10 points

Was thinking the same but I miss him so much? him and Eakin on the third line were one of the best lines we had + Eakin can play up and down the lineup

Ott Det Mtl
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McFaksaGOAT</b></div><div>I think a fair deal would be Robertson (top prospect) + a young roster player Honka (?) Maybe another young prospect like L’esperance (who leads the AHL in goals as a rookie) and a 1st round pick and 3rd next year for Stone.
Robertson, L’esperance, Honka, 1st and 3rd for Stone</div></div>
I think the starting conversation is a 1st, a roster player, and a prospect. I think you overpay with Robertson and an AHL rookie of the year candidate in L’Esperance. That would be two elite prospects, a roster player, and a mid to late 1st round pick.
Ottawa could use a RHD which is why I threw in Carrick to sweeten the deal. I don’t think Ty is on the table, just like I didn’t think we would trade Heiskanen for Karlsson. A similar return for Karlsson was basically offered by the Stars, but Ottawa seemed to demand a king’s ransom that they couldn’t get. If the trade included a signing of Duchene for 8x8, then Robertson could be in the package.
Nichushkin, Robertson (or L’Esperance), Carrick (or Honka) and a 2019 1st
FOR
Duchene with 8x8 extension

Rebuilding - trades with NSH BOS DAL WSH VGK
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McFaksaGOAT</b></div><div>Not sure what to think of the Stars trade. Love to have Eaves back. Maybe Kesler can rebound with Benn and Radulov?</div></div>
Yep. My initial thought was to get Eaves back, he was solid as heck in Dallas, and "help" ANA to dump Kesler to somewhere with the cost of Manson, but without losing Manson's true value - hence getting back the first. Kesler could maybe take Spezza's place next year. At $5,5M, he might not be too bad of an asset if he can rebound with better linemates.

Jesus f***ing christ this is an overpayment. Nill didn't trade Heiskanen to freaking Karlsson alone, yet you'd expect us to deal him + some extremely valuable stuff for Couturier, who'd probably be a 2C in our team. Get real.
We're not talking about McDavid here.

You're contradicting yourself lol
Technically every player is untouchable unless the price is right ahahahaha
Heiskanen is literally untouchable. Dallas isn't trading him regardless of the package. He's young and they believe that he's going to be a top 5 D in the league going forward. Whereas Coutierer is just a good hockey player on a friendly contract. Valuable but not untouchable

Actually Polak has played almost the entire season as the 2nd pair D in Dallas this season, and he's been solid. Just look at DAL's goals against, they're 2nd in the league. Polak has had a role on that one.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McFaksaGOAT</b></div><div>If you want a really big fish, they could offer sheet Marner for 13-13.5 mil and for sure make it work, although it’s likely their only off season addition, and they could run
Robertson-Seguin-Marner
Gurianov-Benn-Radulov
Hintz-Faksa-Cogliano
Janmark-Dickinson-Pitlick
Lindell-Klingberg
Heiskanen-Polak
Oleksiak-Fedun
Bayruther
If Robertson turns out not to be ready, they can throw Hintz up there, or do Gurianov-Seguin-Marner with Benn-Hintz-Radulov. Either way, I like our options next year. I also proposed the idea of going for Stone so maybe DAL could do Benn-Faksa-Stone and Gurianov-Seguin-Radulov. I do think Dallas should go for a prime time winger, whether it’s a UFA or an offersheet for an RFA
Thoughts?
Sorry it’s so much to take in lmao. I did read your entire thing and I agree with most of it. I do think there’s value in ritchie and Honka</div></div>
THoughts on offer sheeting Braden Point instead? Now you have a 1-2 punch of Seguin and Point for the next 8 years!
