How could Montreal use their cap space to get picks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KentMcNally</b></div><div>Sooo nobody wants to talk proposals of players coming from Montreal in order to add to these trades??
I was thinking Montreal can offer some combination of the following to Vancouver and Pittsburgh:
Florida pick
Mesar
Kidney
Davidson
Norlinder
Struble
Heineman
Engstorm
Montreal could pick at at #11 or #14L
Sandin Pellikk
Leonard
Wood
Barlow
Yager
Simashev
Anyone with some contsructive thoughts?</div></div>
It would depend on how much Pittsburgh values their 14OA pick and the potential players available at that time. I can see MTL sweetening the deal with any of those players.
Hughs would also have to believe that those players available are worth more than what he's giving up. Kidney had a good season last year. Is it worth givcing him up for a similar player at 14OA?

That's what I mean by a cut pay cut. There's no way they extend him a QO at that price

Offer sheet for PLD and sign him in 2024
There's no way the Jets don't match this offer. They believe they can get more than a first and a third for him at the deadline.

In no way does MTL trade Ghule and a first for a G. Habs are not in a position to win for at least two years. Build the team, shop for a G later.

Lines and Questions please read description
Monahan is't expected to be back before November and when he does, I expect him to play on the fourth line. Dvorak is a prototypical third line C. Let's hope Dach works out at #2. I'm not worried about player salaries and cap space. They'll be fine this year adn next year there'll be $23M in space, not counting Price on LTIR.

We don't know that until he plays NHL games. Given the teams plan, ther's no need to rush his development. Allow him to get accustomed to pro level speed.

Even so. He could start on the roster and his cap has no affect. I'd start Guhle in Laval. No point in making him play with the big club now.

Montreal won't pay to get rid of players. Their cap isn't as dire as everyone makes it out to be. Especially if Price is done. Hughes and company will wait out the bad contracts.

Gorton moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JaredOfLondon</b></div><div>interested in moving a player is much much different than "will take a much worse player in return". Drouin doesnt do it, price doesnt do it, chariot doesnt do it, yet all these proposals are those guys for Girard++. Montreal wants Girard, they can offer Caufield+ or Suzuki.</div></div>
Chiarot is definitely not worth Girard. Colorado would be insane to refuse a 1 for 1 trade involving Price/Girard. Especially since MTL would have to eat a ton of salary. I don't think Colorado can afford Suzuki, It would depend on what 29 will take as a discount.
Depending on the numbers, I might enjoy seeing a Girard for Caufield trade. I'm sure there could be a negotiation there.

Price isn't going anywhere. I don't see a fit for him with that contract.
As for Girard, reports have indicated that colorado is interested in moving him. As for Montreal s offer, there's alot of things that have to line up. Salary, player contracts, roster limits. Drouin is a very talented player. I expect to see him move, if not this year, the next.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dpellz90</b></div><div>None of them are doing that. Kadri has a higher than average on-ice shooting % which will regress. Smith has not had a spectacular year, he shouldn't sniff this team. Wilson currently carries a 106.7 PDO. There is no way in hell this will keep up for the entire year, his production will also regress.
So again, Kadri, Wilson, and Smith are 3 guys that Point should unquestionably be ahead of.</div></div>
Agree to disagree. Canana is one of those nations that can ice two teams that could make the finals.
