I would not be happy as a CBJ fan with those trades. Specifically the Anaheim deal.

I think to get Saad, it would have to take a whopper of a deal. I think CBJ management and want to build their franchise around him, Jenner, and Jones.

Possible line-up
At least from his days in Columbus, I loved watching Anisimov play in the middle. His long reach and big body seems perfect to me as a second or third line center who shows patience, good puck control, and a good amount of offensive output.

What if....3
I think Milano is apart of this team's future and isn't going anywhere unless a necessary deal that lands them a young number one center (unlikely). I guess in my opinion, these seem like lateral moves to me, I don't think this gets the team any better (minus the Duchene acquisition) but, that is just my analysis.

According to Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch, it's actually a strong possibility that Clarkson ends up on LTIR.

I honestly don't think he will. He is a dominant player, yes. But there is no need to rush him into NHL action. He still could develop at the junior level and come in and contribute for the club at the end of the year.
If he turns heads and does wonders at camp and honestly deserves a spot, he should play. But that would take a HELL of a camp, in my opinion. No need to rush your promising future.

I would agree. I think rushing PLD would be a mistake at this point unless he shows that he is 100% NHL ready in camp. Would think Milano's speed and abilities put him as a guy Torts' would love. Training camp will definitely shake these things out.

Usually not a good idea to have young defense. Recipe for growing pains and inconsistency. JML would bring a veteran presence to help stabilize a bright blue line. Doesn't necessarily have to be him. Just someone like him age/cap wise.

Sharks trade
I think the Sharks would want much more for Couture. 1st line centers don't grow on trees (as we all know). Couture is a guy that would be included in a deal regarding the number 3 overall pick and that might get the ball rolling on trade talks. Maybe.

I don't see Nashville giving up Fiala and a 2nd. Maybe one or the other but not both, in my opinion. Very interesting and a lot of moving parts just have to wonder if it makes the team better. I think on some levels yes, but is Columbus better off running the course? Only time will tell, I suppose.

Realistic Scenario
Not sure if this will land Columbus a first but maybe a pair of 2nds in 2016 and 2017. Pretty realistic otherwise. Still wonder if Rychel gets dealt. Would think there will be talks, no? Overall this is pretty good though.

He may still be valued around the league. We don't know. We just sit here and click around on a salary cap site. This is just based off of things I've read from the Columbus Dispatch that Campbell may be on his way out of town. Head scratching trades are made sometimes. As long as the two clubs agree, deals will be made.

Yes, I stated the obvious. I was meaning more along the lines of Columbus isn't in need for big ticket names or veterans. Campbell was horrendous in the faceoff circle this year. Arizona maybe needs grit, no? Doesn't necessarily have to be Arizona. Could be anyone looking for veteran 4th line presence. Just a thought.

As much as I like it, I would be really hesitant to deal that #3 pick. I think Puljujarvi will be a top end talent in the league for many years. Is that worth dealing him for cap relief?
