The only moves I see us truly making

I agree with you in the sense that that is what the value should be but, the demand for Hanzal will drive up the price. Everyone looking to get bigger, stronger, and better down the middle. Hanzal will be overpaid for.

As for the value, I think it's a bit too much, take either Jenner or the first out and it's good.</i></div></div>
Do you think subbing Milano for Jenner would work? Has previous experience with Bednar. Maybe add another prospect or pick to sweeten the pot?

Calgary fans, would this work?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SB84</b></div><div><i>Stop with the Bennett trades!! He is absolutely not being moved. He's having sophomore slump. Chiasson has not been disappointing. He was not brought in to play top line minutes and has had to play there because of lack of depth. He's a third line guy who is slotted wrong, that's not on him, he is what he is. Nobody expected him to be a 50 point guy.
The Flames have Jon Gillies and Parsons for goaltending prospects, they are fine in that regard. How can you say Forsberg and Karlsson could play right now when neither has established themselves as a regular goalie. They are not better what the Flames currently have in net.
It's not far off value-wise, but it doesn't make sense for the Flames.</i></div></div>
I agree with you but... Karlsson is center. Forsberg is the only one who is a goalie.

Barrie's 5.5M long-term contract does not fit within the team's salary structure, nor does he fit on the third pairing behind Jones and Savard with that contract. This move makes no sense for either team, a better option for D help would be to look for an to-be-UFA like Stone, Franson, etc.</i></div></div>
I agree... I also think it's never a bad thing to have too many defensemen. Great trade value as everyone wants one.
If Savard or Johnson is taken I think they are still fine long-term, but if Karlsson is taken then the back end would be super-heavy and some moves would need to be made. I think Barrie is an upgrade over Savard though, and it wouldn't be hard to trade him or Johnson out. I like the idea.</i></div></div>

They can fetch a defenseman with Duchene and or Landeskog. I think they would welcome a first and a good forward prospect to replace Landeskog and Iginla.

I don't see them moving Hartnell since they brought him in for the purpose of playing in the playoffs. Maybe Gagner since it's doubtful CBJ can resign him?

I think Milano is someone who could use some NHL action for the remainder of this season and could have a roster spot next year. Unfortunately for him, that's probably not going to be with Columbus because of the depth at forward. Jackets would probably be ok throwing in someone like Prout as a "sweetener" or someone along those lines. It's an interesting scenario.

TOR Trade Assests, Asks ,Offers
As much as the CBJ could use centers, I don't see CBJ and TOR being good partners at this point considering they both want to get younger and faster. Probably nothing that either team could offer that would draw consideration. I like this set up though.

Post 2017 Draft and Expansion Draft
I really like that defensive group but in all honesty... who is going to score goals in that forward group? I think its clear that CBJ need top line talent with Saad. I don't know that they have that yet. PLD in a year or two, Wennberg if he really improves this year but, that's about it. Just a thought.

My final projection before opening night
I still think Prout is the 6th man and Harrington/Goloubef (when healthy) is the 7th defenseman. I don't know that Tortorella will want to throw Werenski out to log heavy minutes early. I could definitely see it as the season progresses but maybe not off the bat. Other than that, this is probably pretty likely.

It's kinda meaningless what a player says in public. What else would Harknell say as a member of the CBJ? IMO Harknell would be willing to traded, and the CBJ would be glad to trade, if just to get more cap space and to restart another rebuild. Hartnell might even be willing to be exposed in the expansion to play his last two seasons in Vegas as opposed to Columbus, though I know Hartnell does have value as a player to the CBJ.</i></div></div>
But he wasn't asked about his NMC. He contacted Jarmo to retract his trade list. He willingly said it. It wasn't asked by media. I think he sincerely wants to stay here.

I actually think Torts is exactly what this team needs... a kinda guy that kicks you in the ass and can chew you out. Nobody on the roster screams superstar. These are all hardworking guys with enough skill to get the job done. I think it could be a nice mix. But, only time will tell.
