Description
Another hard year leads to a top 3 draft pick and we select the best available player to complete our top 4 for the future in Timothy Liljegren. He will be NHL ready and could jump right in on the 2nd pairing with Murray. Werenski, Jones, Murray, and Liljegren as a top 4? That's truly elite. The offense sucks but we could move out on of the bottom pair defensemen like Johnson for more offensive help or maybe find help through the system.
Savard was taken in the expansion draft.

I dont think youll get anything for johnson. Along with your high hopes of having an elite top 4. Hardly jones is good but still has alot of kinks along with murray. The other two you dont even know if they will pan out as you expect and even so youll still like a go to guy.

CBJ fans deserve better than the last number of years. You're right though, it looks like a top three pick in the next draft. npalley98 is correct....elite D is a stretch right now. Heck with top 3 pick, go for # 1 and get a potentially elite centre.

And Johnson could get a third round pick and a low prospect. He still has the ability to put up 20-30 points in this league.

I really like that defensive group but in all honesty... who is going to score goals in that forward group? I think its clear that CBJ need top line talent with Saad. I don't know that they have that yet. PLD in a year or two, Wennberg if he really improves this year but, that's about it. Just a thought.
