Quoting: X27

It's a "FANTASY" team.
Flyers have an abundance of right D-men and little on the left side, so yes their needs on defense are the same as the Leafs, just opposite sides. Kapenen is an upgrade on right wing to the 2nd line as Konecny can switch back to the left side and if they need more, Jeremy Bracco is available to sweeten the deal. It means the Leafs will have to give up more to get slightly less, but it addresses their needs.
Leafs have an abundance of talent that will never prosper due to a logjam in all forward positions.... Kapenen is too good to be on the 3rd line. Johnson is a solid 2nd liner and Bracco can't even get into the line-up to showcase his talent. They are becoming wasted assets. use them to build defense.

I'm not sure what you mean by "FANTASY" team, because that would apply to every ACGM. I'm not complaining because that's what ACGM is for. But whatever, if you like trying things just for fun then go ahead.

Aside from that, all of your statements for the Flyers are completely wrong. Flyers are loaded with left-handed defensemen and are in need of good, young right-handed defensemen. Provorov goes on the top pairing on the left side, then Sanheim, and then Hagg/Gostisbehere. Not to mention we have Cam York and Yegor Zamula who will be NHL ready next season or the season after. For our right-handed defense pairings, Niskanen is on our first pairing, then Myers, and then Braun. Myers is important to us because he's our only young and promising right-handed defenseman. Niskanen and Braun have been great for us, but they aren't staying here long term. Niskanen isn't being moving next year and Braun could very likely resign with us if he's cheap. I'm not sure what happens the year after, but we could be in trouble. Sanheim may be capable of playing the right side, but either way we're not moving Myers unless we're getting back Liljegren, along with a few other assets in the deal.

As for our forwards, we don't need or want Kapanen and we're certainly not moving Frost. He has a pretty good chance of being better than Kapanen. We're already loaded with top-six forwards and adding Kapanen will just make more of the mess. That includes and is probably not limited to Giroux, Couturier, Voracek, Hayes, Konecny, and Lindblom. I expect Lindblom to return next season and if he doesn't then Laughton can be up there. Yes, he's better than Kapanen as of right now. Laughton is a about as good as Kapanen offensively, he can play center, and is good at faceoffs. We also have a ton of young guys who are projected to be in the top-six. Many of them are playing great and they are not getting their opportunity because of everyone else playing great. Our forward log-jam is worse than yours.

To be honest if there is anything that I want for the Flyers right now, it would be a dynamic forward and right-handed defensemen prospects.

Quoting: Wqrrior

so ghost for a 6th vs ghost for a first all because of a 20 point difference?

as a flyers fan myself i can say that those conditions are senseless and very bad for the flyers. I would much rather he be swapped for another player in need of a reboot.

You might be misunderstanding the conditions by the way you said it. Here's an easier way of putting it:

If Gostisbehere reaches 40 points or more:

Flyers receive: 1st round pick, 6th round pick

Golden Knights receive: Gostisbehere

If Gostisbehere reaches 21 to 39 points:

Flyers receive: 2nd round pick, 6th round pick

Golden Knights receive: Gostisbehere

If Gostisbehere reaches 20 points or less:

Flyers receive: 2nd round pick, 6th round pick

Golden Knights receive: Gostisbehere, 2nd round pick

If Gostisbehere has yet another poor year, he is probably going to be treated the way Karl Alzner is right now. Remember, Ghost is an offensive defenseman and he's supposed to bring offense to the team. He's not bad at defending for an offensive defenseman, but he's only worth his contract if he can put up the numbers. If he can't bounce back with a new team, then he has hardly any value. That 2nd round pick in the third scenario listed is compensation for Gostisbehere having a poor year.

I would much rather swap him for a player in his situation too. However, I don't think there is a player out there that is in a need of a reboot that the Flyers would need. Athanasiou could have been a great option, but looks like he's finding his way in Edmonton.

EDIT: Just figured out what you meant. After looking it over again, there is probably a better way of doing it. I'd still like to try to move Gostisbehere with managing some of the conditions though.
